Since we planned to stay at Disney’s Aulani the following week, we knew we’d have plenty of beach time there. Paia has the best shaved ice on the island. Road to Hana fans love the spot—8 minutes from Mile Marker 0. You can beat crowds at all stops. Haleakalā Visitor Center is 1 hour, 15 minutes away. Sunrise or sunset trips work well from here.
