Hilton Grand Vacations Club Kings’ Land Waikoloa: A Tropical Family Haven

Nestled on the stunning Big Island, Hilton Grand Vacations Club Kings’ Land Waikoloa offers a luxurious escape with spacious suites, incredible amenities, and a prime location. Our family’s recent stay was unforgettable, blending relaxation and adventure seamlessly.

Booking

We booked a 3-night stay in a 2-bedroom Deluxe suite (1 King, 2 Doubles, 2 baths) for just over $1,700. While I had enough Hilton points to cover the stay, I reserve points for 5th-night-free stays due to their 20% higher redemption value. Paying cash was a strategic move, as it maximized my point earnings through multiple Hilton promotions and benefits. I was enrolled in Hilton’s Double Points promotion, earned a 100% Diamond Elite bonus, received MyWay Preferences points, and racked up 12x points using my American Express Hilton Surpass card. Here’s the breakdown of points earned:

  • Double Points Promotion: 15,415
  • Diamond Elite Bonus: 15,415
  • MyWay Preferences: 2,000
  • Base Points: 15,415
  • Surpass Card Bonus: 16,245

Total: 64,490 Hilton points, valued at 0.6 cents each, equating to $386.94 for future Hilton stays—a fantastic return!

Location of Hilton Grand Vacations Club Kings’ Land Waikoloa

Hilton Grand Vacations Club Kings’ Land Waikoloa is located on Hawaii’s Big Island, about 20 miles north of Kona International Airport, a quick 25-minute drive. Waikoloa is a resort haven, boasting pristine beaches, golf courses, and shopping. The property is part of a larger Hilton complex, including the Hilton Waikoloa Village and the Kohala Suites, offering guests access to shared amenities like Dolphin Quest and nearby Queen’s Marketplace for dining and shopping.

Check-In

Check-in was a breeze. The front desk attendant was welcoming, providing a property map and clear directions to our building’s parking lot. As a Hilton timeshare property, Kings’ Land features multiple buildings, each with its own adjacent parking lot, making access convenient. This was my first stay at a Hilton Grand Vacations property, and I learned that Hilton status benefits, like room upgrades or lounge access, don’t apply here—a minor drawback for Diamond members like myself.

Deluxe Suite

The 2-bedroom Deluxe suite was a highlight of our stay. The tall ceilings and light, airy decor with warm wood accents created a welcoming, modern vibe. The stainless steel appliances in the full kitchen were sleek and functional, stocked with all the cutlery, dishes, and even BBQ utensils we needed for the gas grills outside each building. The balcony, with comfortable seating, was perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation, drawing us outside to enjoy the tropical breeze. Ceiling fans kept the space cool, and the spacious layout easily accommodated our family of six. The room felt fresh and modern with minimal wear, possibly due to a recent remodel. The bathrooms were equally impressive—both were spacious, but the master bath stood out with a luxurious soaking tub, a separate stand-up shower, and a dual-sink vanity, making mornings stress-free for our large family.

Amenities

The amenities at Kings’ Land are a standout. The expansive pool area is a family paradise, featuring a kid-friendly beach area, waterslides, hot tubs, pool basketball, volleyball, and three waterfalls with grottos. It seamlessly transitions into an adult-only section with its own pool, waterfall grotto, and hot tub for a quieter escape. The on-site restaurant and bar, conveniently located by the pool, served tasty meals and drinks. Fitness enthusiasts can use the well-equipped gym, while golfers have access to oceanfront courses. A complimentary bus system transports guests around the property and to nearby attractions like Dolphin Quest at Hilton Waikoloa Village or the shops at Queen’s Marketplace.

Overall Impression Of Hilton Grand Vacations Club Kings’ Land Waikoloa

We absolutely loved our stay at Hilton Grand Vacations Club Kings’ Land Waikoloa and would eagerly return. Our kids still rave about the pool’s waterslides and grottos, begging to go back. The full kitchen and outdoor grills made meals a breeze for our family of six, saving us time and money.
